Bangpoo Environmental ComplexWMS Operates the Bangpoo Environmental Complex (BPEC). BPEC is a fully licensed non-hazardous waste disposal site in Thailand with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification. BPEC is a comprehensive waste collection, treatment, recycling and disposal facility that saves energy, conserves resources, and protects Thailand's environment. The facility consists of (1) a fluidized bed combustor that converts waste to steam, (2) a recycling center, (3) refuse collection equipment, and (4) a waste transfer building. The site accepts non-hazardous industrial, commercial, and municipal waste including waste-water and sludge. The facility is a joint development effort between WMS and the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT). The Japanese are also supporting BPEC through the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). BPEC is located at the Bangpoo Industrial Estate in Samut Prakan, which is the largest and oldest industrial area in Thailand. BPEC is capable of handling waste treatment from all over Thailand, but the target markets are Bangkok, Ayutthaya, and Patum Thani. Dramatic environmental and economic changes are taking place everyday in Thailand.
